The Talk Board Rules

Post by RedDragonV on Sun Jan 06, 2008 12:44 am

· We encourage debating and discussion, however we will not tolerate rudeness, insulting posts, personal attacks or purposeless inflammatory posts, period.

· Please refrain from posting meaningless threads, one word (or short) non-sense posts, or the such.

· Please stay on topic. There are areas dedicated to getting to know each other and chatting. Any posts that are irrelevant to the topic will be moved or deleted.

· Duplicate posts are not allowed. Please choose the best category for your topic. Multiple or repeated posting in order to increase your post count is not allowed.

· Before creating a new thread, please be sure to use our “search feature” to ensure that this subject has not been brought up already. In a lot of cases your question may have already been asked and answered.

· Advertising, spamming and trolling is not allowed. This includes using the forum email and Private message system to spam other members.

· Discussion of illegal activities is not permitted and will be deleted. Members discussing illegal activity many be subject to being banned.

· Each member is allowed one login account. Registering with multiple accounts is not allowed.

· We reserve the right to remove offensive posts without notice.

· We also reserve the right to ban anyone who willfully violates the forum rules.

· Also while these rules cover most common situations, they cannot anticipate everything. Consequently we reserve the right to take any actions we deem appropriate to ensure these forums are not disrupted or abused in any way.
Any threads/posts of these types will be deleted.
Do not be offended if we decide to move/axe one of your posts.

· USE APPROPRIATE TITLES
Titles like Help Me, or I'm Stuck serve little value in a forum. Try to be short but descriptive when submitting your post.

· NO SPAM
Do not use this site as a redirector or gateway to another site for the purpose of collecting click income or advertising. Although there are times when a link to another site is necessary for helping or answering a question, this site reserves the right to determine what is and is not SPAM. Any SPAM will be immediately deleted and the user warned. This is not your personal "for sale" board to advertise items.

· PRIVACY
You must respect the privacy of other members and individuals. Do not post personal information (i.e. addresses, phone numbers, passwords, personal identification numbers, or any other information considered private) without the express permission of the individual.

· SIGNATURES
Signatures should be no larger than 100 pixels high by 700 pixels wide. This includes any text or images used in your signature. Signatures outside this limit will be edited and/or removed. Please remember, no pornographic, obscene or controversial subject matter of any kind.

· PHONE NUMBERS - If you want to post them, that's up to you. It doesn't matter to us if you want the whole world to know your phone number. If you start getting strange calls in the middle of the night, don't come and blame us

· Please take a moment to review the following:

Please remember that we are not responsible for any messages posted. We do not vouch for or warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any message, and are not responsible for the contents of any message.

The messages express the views of the author of the message, not necessarily the views of The Talk!!!. Any user who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to contact an Administrator immediately via the report button or via the private messaging facility. We have the ability to remove objectionable messages and we will make every effort to do so, within a reasonable time frame, if we determine that removal is necessary.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violative of any law.

You agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or you have the permission of the copyright owner.

The forum is moderated by members chosen by the site host. These members can be identified by the title 'Moderator' beneath their name. It is their responsibility to make sure, where possible, that discussion remains focused, relevant, on topic and within the rules stated on this page. We reserved the right to edit, change, or delete any post deemed unsuitable, or not within the rules on this page. The site staff reserve the right to prevent access to members, and revoke membership at any time. Site staff do not have to provide a reason for any decision made, but where appropriate a reason should be provided. Topic closure will adhere to the topic closure policy (see below)

Any person posting in the forum is legally responsible for what they post. The Talk, the staff and administrators accept no responsibility for anything which is posted, and the consequences of such. Any decision of the site host will be final. If you feel you have grounds to complain over a decision which has been made, please contact any administrator via the Private Message function.

· Subject to the following conditions, no advertising of product, services, or anything else is permitted, either in posting or via private messaging.
- The host may permit advertising to appear at his/her sole discretion.
- Within the context of discussion, information about the use of, the location of, and the price of products is permitted.

· Please note that all content on this site is © Copyright of its respective owners. Permission from the owner should be sought before reproducing any aspect of this site.

· TOPIC CLOSURE POLICY

Moderators reserve the right to close any topic without justification. However, we will always try to use the following policy. Topics will normally only be closed in the following circumstances

· Where the topic is, or has become inappropriate, offensive, derogatory, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violative of any law.
· Where the topic is drifiing away from the topic of discussion, or new posts are unconstructive and will add little to the discussion. Moderators will attempt to split/move topics to a more appropriate forum before closing a topic in this case.
· Where a topic reaches a natural conclusion, and by leaving the topic open it is likely that either of the above two points will occur.
· Where a topic is in breach of the forum rules and guidelines as outlined above.

Moderators will always look at all available options before closing a topic. When closing a topic, moderators will provide a detailed reason for doing so. The site host will also review closed topics, and will make a final decision. Any objections to the closure of a topic should be sent via private message or e-mail to the site host.

· POST EDITING POLICY

Moderators reserve the right to edit any post without justification. However, we will always try to use the following policy. Posts will normally only be edited in the following circumstances:

· Where the post is inappropriate, offensive, derogatory, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violative of any law.
· Where a post is in breach of the forum rules and guidelines as outlined above.

Moderators should always contact the member via private message to let them know that the post has been edited, and the reasons why. In cases where the post offensive, derogatory, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violative of any law, the site host will be informed and the member may have post rights revoked until the situation is reviewed. If you feel you have grounds to complain, please contact the site host via e-mail or private message.

· ACCOUNT ACTIVITY

While we would like to see every member posting on our board it is not necessary however, any members account that is found to have not at least visited the Talk board site within a one month period will be subject to deletion. Members that may be away for said amount of time can contact any Administrator or Moderator and let us know to avoid this occurrence. Accounts that may fall under this category can be deleted but will not be banned so recreation is possible. Please note that the Account Activity policy excludes the account "TEST", as that is used by the admininstration.

Thank you for your cooperation in helping us keep this a nice, fun place to visit.
